As you know, proper rug placement is critical to creating a harmonious and stylish living space. Let’s explore the art of perfectly placing rugs in different rooms. I have prepared a simple illustrated guide for you that will help you place a rug in your living room, dining room and bedroom.
LIVING ROOM
For the living room, aim for a rug that spans the width of your furniture to create visual unity. Alternatively, place only the front legs of your furniture on the rug for balance. In rectangular layouts try to use only rectangular rugs.

BEDROOM
In the bedroom, use a generously sized rug under the bed and bedside tables to visually enlarge the space. If a large rug is unavailable, opt for symmetry with two runners on either side of the bed for a unique touch. Try to avoid using round and oval rugs.

DINING ROOM
In the dining room, ensure all chair legs are within the rug’s borders, allowing easy movement. Harmonize the rug’s shape with the table for sophistication. Avoid rugs smaller than your dining furniture to maintain visual harmony.
